The impact that COVID-19 has had on our LGBTQ+ community is staggering. We are all trying to catch our breath, assess this temporary new normal and try to forge ahead the best way we know how. The LGBT Center of SE Wisconsin, like all of us, is forging ahead.
To the best of our ability we are…
-actively getting support groups, social groups and new activities launched virtually
-reaching out to see how you are, what you need and to see if we can help
-advocating for those in SE Wisconsin and beyond
and we are being good stewards of your financial support so we can continue to be your Center for years to come
Be careful, love one another and be thinking of the fabulous party we will have when this is over!

Thanks to a grant from Forest County Potowatami, we will be starting an after school youth arts program Tuesday, February 18th. The first module will be Printmaking 101 led by David Jones from the Center of Collaborative Research. The first 3 part class involves scanning an image, making a print block and transferring it to a t-shirt. The next module led by Nathan Stamper, one of our board members, will be directing one acts for LGBTQ+ youth. The youth arts program also includes field trips to museums, theatre productions and other outreach opportunities. The youth arts program is free to youth ages 14-17, and limited to 10 students per module. It runs opposite Rainbow Renegades, the youth social group which meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Contact the Center for more information. 262-664-4100.
