By selecting this, you agree to inform the new user that they are required to have a virtual meeting with Barney, that they’ll need to download the Google Authenticator app, and that they will use this to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) with Google and the website.

Your Responsibility

First, the new user will need to schedule a meeting with Barney for a 1:1 to learn how to use the Google products used by the Center. This meeting is interactive; they must share their screen for the meeting. Access to a new email should never be granted before this meeting.

New user prep for the meeting

  1. Test your Google Meet settings before the meeting to ensure that your camera & sound are working.
  2. Download the “Google Authenticator” to your cell phone from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
  3. Find a quiet place with a camera, minimal sound, and a large monitor for sharing screens.
